The countdown continues!
With just two weeks until we open our doors, we want to invite you to be a part of what we are doing. We are passionate about seeing transformation in our local area by running a free and equitable space for families and young children. There will be space for children to play and be creative, a diverse reading area where you'll find books for babies and toddlers right through to helpful reading for grown ups. Sharing food is a huge part of our culture and we want to do exactly that at our family supper club. All this will be free of charge - guests simply have to book in advance.
So that's the plan! But to be able to run these sessions free for local families requires support from the wider community. Our current biggest ongoing costs are the venue hire and food. We know that some of the families attending will be in need of more than just a meal and so we are preparing 20% more for these families to be able to take home with them as well.
We have just over two weeks left to raise enough to launch and run this much needed play space and family supper club in a great venue in south east London so now is the time to pledge, share and share some more!
This is about sharing what we have and supporting one another. HUGE thank you to everyone who has already donated and shown your support on our crowdfunding page. We believe Philo will be for the community by the community. You are helping making this dream a reality!
