what is philo?

A creative play & arts space for families to connect in - completely free to attend.

We welcome sharing and offerings from the local wider community.

Philo is for us, by us.

when and where will it be?

We're excited to share that we'll be opening again on tuesdays from april at a new venue! and the great news is that our doors will be open from 10.30am. location is visible when reserving your free space.

It would be really helpful for us to know you're coming so please reserve your space in advance.

how can we let you know we're coming?

Follow us on eventbrite and sign up for the date you would like to come.

what will the day look like?

A lot of play! We have an open art room, an outdoor area, a games room, a library and a toddler and baby-friendly play space. There is room to freely explore play and art throughout the day and on particular weeks, we will be joined by guest facilitators and artists sharing their gifts with us!

Drinks & light lunch are provided in the kitchen between 12-2 and after 3.30pm.

how can I get involved?

The space is for us, by us and we love sharing what we have with our families. however if you have more capacity and are interested in helping out, it would be amazing to hear from you. Drop us an email if you are interested.

for those who need a quiet space...

We aim to provide a safe environment for families. If you would like to be in a quieter space, there is a smaller room off the main downstairs space, our library, with sofas and sensory box to choose from. There are also ear defenders that can be used. We have an enclosed space outdoors which you are free to use but please note children need to be with their responsible adult when outdoors.

We understand that it's not always easy to find spaces that suit all needs so please contact us before the day if you have questions or concerns.
